Turning an Unused Driveway into a Home Golfing Destination

Golf4Home recently completed this fantastic large home putting green and fringe area installation for a keen golfing family near Hull.

The project began with an area of gravel driveway to the side of the property that was rarely used and offered little practical benefit. Our customer had the vision to transform this underutilised space into something the whole family could enjoy.

With his two daughters and wife all keen golfers, the brief was to create a substantial home putting green where the family could practise their putting and short game together, without having to head to the golf course every time they wanted to practise.

A Large Putting & Short Game Area

Our team designed and installed a large bespoke putting green incorporating a generous fringe area, creating plenty of space for the family to work on different aspects of their short game.

The design was carefully integrated into the surrounding garden, creating a dedicated golfing area that feels like a natural part of the property rather than simply an addition to it.

The premium artificial golf grass provides a consistent playing surface, allowing the family to practise regularly throughout the year with minimal maintenance.

More Than Just a Putting Green

As part of the wider transformation, the Golf4Home team also created a large new flower bed, incorporating a railway sleeper border to provide definition and structure to the landscaping.

Decorative stone was then added along two sides of the putting area, creating attractive borders and helping to tie the golf area into the surrounding garden.

The combination of the putting green, fringe, planting area, sleeper edging and decorative stone has created a beautifully finished outdoor space with a real sense of purpose.

A Golfing Space for the Whole Family

For this family, the new putting green is about much more than simply improving their golf. It has created a place where the whole family can practise, compete and enjoy their shared passion for the game together.

What was previously an underused gravel driveway has been transformed into a fantastic private golfing facility that can be enjoyed whenever they wish.

The finished installation has completely transformed the side of the property, turning an unused gravel area into a bespoke family putting and short game facility surrounded by beautifully considered landscaping.
