Garden Transformation – Our client in Alwoodley, Leeds, approached Golf4Home with a clear brief: transform an under used section of their garden into a functional and professional golf space.
The project involved two key elements – creating a level base for a future swing studio and designing and installing a bespoke home putting green.
The Brief
- Flatten, clear and prepare an area of approximately 300m² at the rear of the garden for a golf swing studio and Putting Green.
- Safely run power to the far end of the garden by installing armoured cable, requiring a trench dug along the full length of the property.
- Convert a disused vegetable patch into a professional-standard 5-hole putting green with realistic short-game practice features.
- Include premium finishes such as 37mm fringe grass and bollard lighting for evening practice.
Our Solution
The project began with our electrician and ground team installing armoured cabling in a trench spanning the garden, ensuring the new swing studio would be fully powered and future-proofed.
Once the base area was prepared and levelled, we shifted focus to the golf surface itself.
We designed and built a custom 5-hole putting green, blending seamlessly into the garden with 37mm artificial fringe grass to replicate natural surrounds.
To extend practice opportunities into the evening, discreet bollard lighting was installed, creating a professional finish and adding ambience.
Outcome
In just 7 days, we created this amazing garden transformation, from an unused vegetable patch into a premium golf practice area. The client now has a professional-quality putting green at home, along with a prepared foundation and electrics ready for their golf swing studio installation.
